| Radio Station Format Definitions: Grade School (K-12) |
| These are stations that are programmed and operated by grade school or high school students. As with "College" stations, the format of their programming tends to differ with each station, but we group these station together under one listing because of the special characteristics that are prevalent in each station. Many of these station, like "College" stations, tend to have diverse and innovative programming throughout their schedule, although some focus primarily on one format that is popular with their age group, such as alternative, or classic rock.
